CHAOS IN CHILDREN’S ROOMS CAN BE OVERCOME!

You never find the time to do it because you think you will not be able to and you think that in the end it will be a waste of your time. Don’t give up, you can do it!! Follow these simple steps and you will see it is not complicated, you may even become addicted to order!!

1. CHOOSE THE DAY
It's not about waking up inspired. To carry out this task you need to be calm. It's difficult, I know, but I'm sure there is a time when you feel more relaxed: having slept well the night before, eating a good breakfast or after a huge hug from your children. Do not even think about getting organized after an argument with the children, your partner or your mother-in-law!!!

2. COLLABORATION WITH YOUR CHILD IS FUNDAMENTAL
And if we include dad, then it will be perfect. Tell your child that you are going to play a game and that the game is called "a place for everything and everything in its place". Give him an example that he understands easily. If you have a lamp on your nightstand, remove it and then point to the nightstand. Ask, “What's going on here?” Then take some socks and ask this other question, “These socks, where do they go?”

3. OPEN THE WINDOW
Let the fresh air in and renew the atmosphere and remove the stagnant energy in the room.

4. THE BED WELL MADE
There is a current debate about the advantages of not making the bed but I advise doing it and doing it well. A well-made bed protects the sheets from dust and provides a sense of order and cleanliness.

5. PLACE SOME BOXES TOGETHER
The boxes must be strong, large and, if possible, with handles and a lid. Name them: keep, recycle, relocate (in this box we will deposit the objects that belong to other rooms of the house), sell, give or donate.
In the recycling box, use a garbage bag to make removal easier. The bag must be opaque. If you can’t see the contents you will avoid changing your mind. And if you want to do it in an even more professional way, place in this box four bags of different colours (always opaque). Each bag will correspond to an object to be recycled but of different material: cardboard, plastic, glass and organic.

6. THE GAME BEGINS!
Start the timer for 15 minutes. During this time all the participants will try to fill the boxes with articles that correspond to each one. Laugh together, if you stumble when you go from one place to another in the room or if someone is mistaken for a box, don’t be upset. It is a game and so you must play. No penalties or reproaches. It's about enjoying.

7. TIME UP.
BOX “RECYCLING”
Once the timer has run out we will start with the recycling box. If you have opted for the professional option, get rid of the garbage bags by taking them to the corresponding recycling bins. If you consider that your child is old enough to accompany you, it can be the perfect opportunity to explain in a simple way the need and benefits of recycling.

8. BOX “GIVING, DONATING OR SELLING”
Transfer it to a place that is easily accessible and where you see it, because you will have to do this task as soon as possible.

9. BOX “RELOCATE”
Place all the objects in this box in each corresponding room and in the right place.

10. BOX “KEEP”
You are ready to organize your box and put everything where it belongs.
